Hyderabad: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will Tuesday inaugurate a global logistics summit at the Indian School of Business (ISB).

The prime minister, who arrives here Monday night for a two-day visit, will deliver the inaugural address at the summit, the flagship event of the Centre for Global Logistics and Manufacturing Strategies (GLAMS) of ISB.

Being hosted in association with the Hero Mindmine Institute, the event will be addressed by leading industrialists, academicians and senior government officials.

With the theme "Logistics For Global Competitive Advantage and Rural Growth", the summit will explore the challenges and opportunities of rural as well as global supply chain networks in India.

According to ISB officials, the summit will help set the agenda to take the country's agribusiness and manufacturing industry to the next level of competitiveness.

ISB is an international business school providing postgraduate programmes in management, post doctoral programmes as well as education programmes for business executives.

It was founded in 1999 by a group of Fortune 55 entrepreneurs in collaboration with the Andhra Pradesh government. ISB's partners include London School of Business, Wharton Business School and Kellogg School of Management.

Manmohan Singh will also inaugurate the golden jubilee celebrations of the Administrative Staff College of India.
