Congress leading in Kota assembly by 5,000 votes

Raipur: Congress candidate Renu Jogi, wife of former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Ajit Jogi, was today (Dec 7, 2006) leading by about 5,000 votes in the Kota assembly by-polls by the end of the second round of counting.

 

She was leading over her nearest Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Bhupendra Singh Thakur.

 

The election for the by-poll was held Dec 4. The final result is expected by afternoon.
