Thiruvambady (Kerala):  The ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF) in Kerala Thursday won the Thiruvambady by polls.

LDF candidate George M. Thomas of the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) defeated his nearest rival V.M. Ummer Master of the Indian Union Muslim League, an ally of the opposition United Democratic Front (UDF).
