Sensex up by over 37 points on funds buying Friday, December 08, 2006 11:15 [IST]
Mumbai: The benchmark Sensex maintained its upward march in
early trade on the Bombay Stock Exchange today (Dec 8, 2006) by gaining over 37
points on funds buying.
The 30-share index, Sensex, which rose by over 23 points in previous trading,
added another 37.53 points at 14009.56 in the first five minutes of trade.
The wide-based National Stock Exchange Nifty was also up by 31.50 points to
trade at 40.46.85.
Major support came in from heavyweights like Reliance Industries, Reliance
Energy, ACC, Grasim Industries, Bharti Airtel, Bajaj Auto, Reliance
Communications and Tata Steel.
