Monday, January 01, 2007 11:12 [IST]

New Delhi: As the national capital braced for the New Year eve bash, police today arrested two suspected Lashker-e-Toiba militants near New Delhi Railway Station.

Samiullah and Ali Mohammed were picked up from Paharganj side of the railway station, Joint Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Karnal Singh told sources.

He said a bomb disposal squad inspected the luggage recovered from the duo.

The two were arrested barely a kilometer away from Connaught Circus, the central point of New Year celebrations.
