Narayanan to finalise Indo-Russian summit agenda Thursday, January 11, 2007 05:26 [IST]
Moscow: India's National Security Adviser M K Narayanan
arrived here today(Jan 11, 2007) to finalise the agenda for the Indo-Russian
summit during President Vladimir Putin's New
Delhi visit later this month.
During his one-day visit Narayanan is scheduled to hold talks with his Russian
counterpart Igor Ivanov, who is also the Deputy Prime Minister, and Defence
Minister Sergei Ivanov on key issues to be discussed by Prime Minister Manmohan
Singh and President Putin on January 25.
Putin is scheduled to reach New Delhi
on January 24 on a three-day visit and would be the special guest at the
Republic Day celebrations.
Diplomats here are attaching special importance to Narayanan's talks with
Sergei Ivanov, Kremlin's pointman on sensitive issues including nuclear,
defence and space cooperation with India.
