Nimbus asked to share telecast with Doordarshan Tuesday, January 23, 2007 04:10 [IST]
New Delhi: The Delhi High Court today (Jan 23, 2007)directed
Nimbus Communications Ltd to share coverage of Wednesday's India-West Indies
cricket match with Doordarshan but with a seven-minute delay. The company was asked
to extend live coverage to All India Radio (AIR).
Justice S.K. Kaul refused to grant a stay, as sought by the
company, on a government order that sought mandatory sharing of the live feed
of the game with Doordarshan and AIR. Tuesday's order will be effective until
Feb 8 when the matter will be heard again. |
