CBI conducts polygraphic test on Nithari accused Tuesday, January 30, 2007 03:03 [IST]
New Delhi: The CBI yesterday (Jan 29, 2007) conducted polygraphic test on Moninder Singh Pandher and
his servant Surendra Koli, accused of serial killings of women and children in
Nithari, to ascertain the veracity of their statements made during their
custodial interrogation.
CBI sources said the duo had been giving contradictory statements which need to
be analysed.
During the test, for which concurrence of the duo was taken, Moninder and
Surendra were subjected to various questions by scientists of Central for
Forensic Sciences Laboratory pertaining to their role in the killings of women,
especially Payal, the sources said, adding paedophile angle was also being
probed.
The CBI was also awaiting for the polygraphic test report of Maya, the maid
servant working at Pandher's D-5 house in Nithari.
The sources said the CBI also decided to go ahead with the lie-detector test of
the Moninder and Surendra to help the agency secure circumstantial evidence
against them.
Pandher's son had come to meet his father in the CBI but there was no
confirmation whether he was allowed to meet him.
