India's Ambassador toAfghanistan Rakesh Sood conveyed New Delhi'sconcerns over the situation in Afghanistanin Bonn on Tuesday at the political directorsmeeting for the Joint Coordination Monitoring Board (JCMB), an internationalbody tasked with overseeing a five year reconstruction plan for Afghanistan.

"An accurate representation of the Afghan security scene in JCMB reportswill enable the international community to adopt effective policies andmeasures against cross-border terrorism, which is having a destabilsinginfluence in Afghanistanand the region," the Ambassador said.

"Indiafully shared the concerns expressed by the Afghan government over theescalation of violence in recent months due to revival of Taliban, Al-Qaeda andother extremist groups, the existence of cross-border safe havens for thesegroups, and growing incidents of suicide bombings and IEDs," he said.
