Indian community's contribution to Bahrain praised

Dubai:Bahrainis hold Indians,the oldest expat community in the country, in high esteem and value theircontribution, says Bahrain'sIndustry and Commerce Minister Dr Hassan Fakhro.

 

 The Minister wasspeaking after jointly opening the Homes of India property exhibition withIndian Ambassador Balkrishna Shetty in Manama.


Fakhro also recalled the centuries old relationship between India and Bahrain and said such exhibitionswould further strengthen commercial and economic ties, according to the GulfDaily News.


Close to 30 builders from India are taking part in theexhibition with the aim of attracting the large number of NRI's in the regionto invest in the country's booming real estate sector.


The exhibition features 'semi-luxurious' apartments andvilla projects in major Indian cities.


"The real estate market in India is booming and it offerstremendous investment opportunities to both Indian and foreign nationals. Wehope investors in Bahrainwill use this opportunity," Shetty said.


"At a nine percent annual growth, India hasproved to be an attractive destination for international investors," headded.


Well known developers, architects, banks, financial institutions,interior designers and legal advisers from India are also taking part in theexhibition.
