New Delhi: The Supreme Court today (Feb 2, 2007) rejected the bail application of RashtriyaJanata Dal (RJD) MP and alleged gangster Mohammad Shahbuddin who is in jail forbeing in possession of illegal arms.

A Bench of Justices R V Ravindran and Justice Dalbir Bhandari found no merit inthe MP's plea that he was innocent and is languishing in jail for the past 15months.
