ratanBangalore: TataGroup chairman Ratan Tata, who undertook a one-hour sortie on a Boeing F-18Super Hornet fighter aircraft during the Aero India Show here today, describedhis experience as 'terrific'.

"It was a terrific, terrific ride. I really enjoyed today's flight,"he told reporters after landing back at the Yelahanka Air Force station.

Sixty-nine-year-old Tata flew the high tech aircraft as a co-pilot.

"I just flew it in the air for a short while. Not very manymanoevres," he said.

However, "I really got the feel of this plane both at high speed and lowspeed," he added.

Tata had yesterday flown a Lockheed Martin F-16 fighter aircraft in a flightthat lasted 40 minutes, becoming one of the oldest Indians to fly a fighter.

He had termed yesterday's sortie as an 'unbelievable experience'.
