According to police reports, Fateh and sarpanch Ajaib Singh were arrested under section 307 and the Arms Act. The case was registered at the Ghuman police station last night. Police reports said that the police party had gone yesterday evening to Bhoje village to arrest Ajaib Singh, against whom a criminal case was registered at the Mehta police station in Amritsar rural police district. However the police party was fired upon by those who had gathered at Ajaib Singh's house, including Fateh Bajwa.
