CHENNAI: The Third Front today announced support to the candidature of A P J Abdul Kalam for post of President.

The Third Front said it will support Kalam for a second term as President as he is the "universally accepted" candidate for the high office.

Addressing a press conference in Chennai, Jayalalitha said Front leaders will talk to Kalam to persuade him to contest. She also said that many parties have reservations over supporting Bhairon Singh Shekhawat for the post.
