Kalam may contest: Third Front leaders

KalamNew Delhi: Third Front leaders today said President A P J Abdul Kalam was willing to contest for a second term, if there is a consensus among all the political parties.

After an hour-long meeting at Rashtrapati Bhawan today, United National Progressive Alliance Leaders said Dr Kalam told them that he was willing to contest for a second term, if all political parties reached an unanimous understanding.

The UNPA leaders who met him included Samajwadi Party leader Mulayam Singh and Telugu Desam Party chief Chandrababu Naidu.
