Mumbai: On July 7, 2007, the world will come together to witness the declaration of the New 7 Wonders of the World, as chosen in the first-ever global election. All eyes will be on Benfica Stadium, in Lisbon, Portugal, as the New 7 Wonders are announced -- the culmination of the past 7 years of the New7Wonders campaign.

Indian actress Bipasha Basu and Academy Award winners Hilary Swank and Ben Kingsley will host the show, which will include performances by Jennifer Lopez, Dulce Pontes, Chaka Khan, Jose Carreras, Alessandro Safina and Joaquin Cortes. Special guests will include legendary astronaut Neil Armstrong, football hero Cristiano Ronaldo, record-setting balloonist Bertrand Piccard and, of course, the President of the New7Wonders Panel of Experts, former Director-General of UNESCO Prof Federico Mayor. The gala show will be choreographed by Canada's renowned Olympic ceremony veteran acques Lemay.

The event will take place at Portugal's largest venue, the Estadio da Luz (known to many as Benfica Stadium), starting at 21:30 and ending at 23:00. Realizar Impact Marketing, known for its innovative, international multimedia productions, will create and produce the event, which will be broadcast around the world.

Interesting facts about the show:

• The stage will measure 10,000 square meters and have the largest backstage area in the world.
• The sound output will be of 200,000 watts, while there will be 500,000 watts for the lighting, 52 projectors and 1,265 meters of fiber optic cable.
• Five km of cables will make up the lifting systems, with over 300 tons of sets and scenic elements.
• A technical team of more than 600 specialists from more than 10 countries will work on the event, which will involve some 6,500 people in total.
• The entire set and structure will be set up in 20 days.
