Left parties to hold meet on Dera issue
Tuesday, July 24, 2007 08:07 [IST]
PTI
Jalandhar: The Left parties, including the CPI(M) CPI(ML), CPI (ML-Liberation), Revolutionary Socialist Party and All India Forward Block announced that they would hold a convention in Punjab on August two to discuss the Dera issue. State secretary of Communist Party of India (Marxist) CPI(M) Mangat Ram Pasla said the convention would be held at Barnala on the Dera issue, which posed a serious threat to peace in the state.
He alleged that Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal had raked up the issue for his political gain.
