Medininagar: Maoists today allegedly blasted a rest house of the forest department, third in a week, in Palamau district of Jharkhand.

A group of Maoists entered the vacant rest house at Ramgarh village and blasted it using dynamite, Superintendent of Police Udayan Kumar Singh said here.

He said the Central Reserve Police Force has been despatched by an anti-landmine vehicle for combing operation in the forests. Singh said that he was also ascertaining reports whether the Maoists had locked any house in the village after the explosion.

Earlier on August one and the next day, activists of the banned organisation had set on fire two rest houses of the forest department.
