Chennai: Choosing a sari with an attractive combination of pallu and body is quite a challenge for women. A firm in this city has come to their aid with the introduction of "zip-and-match" saris that will enable women to change the pallus according to their tastes.

Sri Kumaran Stores, which earlier introduced innovations like colour-changing saris, pocket saris and jodi pattu (embroidered silk saris with matching embroidered silk shirt and dhoti), today launched the hand-woven silk saris with a set of interchangeable pallus in different colours.

P J Ravi of Sri Kumaran Stores said four pallus -- with embroidery, crystal work, zari woven designs and a two-tone one -- would be provided with each sari.

Women could choose a pallu of their taste and zip it on, he said. The saris are available in a wide a range of designs and colours, he added.
