Chandigarh: Haryana's opposition INLD today organised protest demonstrations at Jind and Sirsa demanding action against a ruling Congress MP, who the party alleged, was caught with two "call girls" at a rest house in Narwana.
INLD workers, led by former MP Surender Singh Barwala, organised a protest at Narwana, near Jind, while general secretary of the women wing of the party Krishna Phogat and MLA from Ellenabad (Sirsa) Sushil Indora led the party protest at Sirsa. The opposition workers also took out processions at both the places demanding the resignation of the MP, Atma Singh Gill, from the Lok Sabha.
However, when contacted by PTI, Gill denied the allegation levelled by the INLD.
Sirsa is the native district of the INLD chief and former Chief Minister Om Parkash Chautala. BJP workers led by Jind district unit president Raghvanand took out a protest procession demanding action against the politician. Supporters of suspended Congress MP Kuldeep Bishnoi, who is the son of former Chief Minister Bhajan Lal, also held a protest demonstration at Jind.
INLD and BJP leaders alleged that the MP had been allowed to go from the spot after some workers of the INLD had caught him with crew of a television channel. Sub Divisional Magistrate of Narwana Pardeep Dagar told PTI on telephone that no case had been registered in this connection, as there was no complainant. The two women and the MP had told the officials that they were acquaintances.
