Guwahati: Noted writer and Jnanpeeth award winner Indira Goswami, who suffered a mild cerebral attack, was today discharged from a private nursing home here in "fine" condition.
"Goswami is fine and her mental faculties are intact", said Chairman-cum-Mmanaging Director of Guwahati Neurological and Research Centre (GNRC) Dr Numal Bora. The doctors have advised the writer rest before starting her normal work.
Thanking the people for their concern over her health, Goswami said her priority would be to finish a novel on the life of a Bodo woman Thang Pakri who was a revenue collector during the British Raj.
