One dies in firing at Vikhroli in Mumbai

Mumbai: A man was shot dead by an unidentified person in a north east suburb this evening, police said.

Sunil Madane, 42, was killed after being shot at by an unidentified person in suburban Vikroli's Tagore Nagar locality at around 1915 hours, they said.

The assailant however, managed to escape while Madane was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead. Further details like the identity of the attacker and Madane's background were not immediately known.
