Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati today alleged that the opposition parties might hatch a conspiracy to eliminate her in view of growing popularity of her party.

"Perturbed by the growing popularity of BSP, the Opposition parties can also hatch a conspiracy to eliminate me so that they can grab power," Mayawati told a massive rally of party workers here.

She also referred to the 1995 state guest house attack incident here when SP supporters had allegedly attacked her after the BSP had withdrawn support to Mulayam Singh Government.
