Paramilitary to get facilities similar to defence
Wednesday, October 24, 2007 12:48 [IST]

New Delhi: The Government today promised to provide the same facilities to the country's paramilitary personnel as enjoyed by the three defence forces.

"We want to provide the same facilities to all our soldiers, whether they are from the military or paramilitary," Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil said at the 46th Raising Day of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) here.

Pledging the Government's committment towards the welfare of soldiers, he said, "we are taking decisions to ensure that the interests of the soldiers are taken care of."
