Sunday, October 28, 2007 11:09 [IST]

Mumbai: Pravin Mahajan, accused of killing his brother and BJP leader Pramod Mahajan, will record his statement before the Sessions Court here tomorrow in connection with the case.

Pravin had allegedly shot the late leader on April 22, last year at his residence and later surrendered at Worli Police Station. Pramod Mahajan had later succumbed to his injuries.

Pravin has, however, pleaded "not guilty" before the court of Additional Sessions Judge Justice S P Davare.

The prosecution has examined 32 witnesses in the case, including the late leader's wife Rekha, daughter Poonam, sister Pradnya Munde and her husband Gopinath Munde, as well as Pramod's domestic help Mahesh Wankhede, who is the key witness in the case.

The court will conclude the recording of all evidence within this week and has scheduled the final arguments in the case from November 12.
