3 injured, 6 arrested in Jammu clash

Jammu: Three persons were injured in a clash here last night following which six people were arrested, police said.

A group of three persons attacked president of Kerosene oil dealers association Rattan Jeer, snatched his licensed pistol and fired on him. The group also attacked Jeer's accomplice Kunal at a nearby barber's shop, they said. As both Jeer and Kunal injured in the attack, some other people beaten up the group injuring one Pawan.

Police registered two cases following the clash and arrested six persons in this connection. The arrested have been identified as Parveen Kumar, Diwakar, Rattan Jeer, Kunal, Pawan Kumar and Mushan Kumar. Rivalry among the Kerosene dealers was believed to be the reason behind the clash, police said.
