New Delhi: Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed militant outfit has threatened to blow up railway stations across north India and popular religious places including the Vaishnodevi shrine. A letter written by one Tasleen Maulvi was sent to an office at Delhi Railway Junction last evening that JeM would trigger explosions in various railway stations of north India, railway and police officials said today.

The handwritten letter, which bears the stamp of a Meerut post office, also threatened to target the Vaishnodevi shrine in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir and other religious places. Railway stations like New Delhi, Delhi Junction, Amritsar, Ludhiana had been mentioned in the Jaish hit list.
Railway authorities have handed over the letter to the police and efforts are on to trace its source.
