'Differences in party over power transfer to BJP'
Saturday, November 03, 2007 08:23 [IST]

Bangalore: Former JD(S) Strongman and Dissident Leader P G R Sindhia has claimed serious differences had cropped up in the party ranks over the issue of transfer of power to the BJP.

This issue will erupt into a revolt with many legislators coming out in the open against Party Chief and Former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda within days, he claimed.

Sindhia, a Former Home Minister in the Deve Gowda Cabinet, claimed due to strategic reasons and fear, many MLAs chose to remain silent. However, they were waiting for an opportunity to revolt against the party leadership.

Appealing to the JD(S) MLAs who were unhappy with the leadership to come out of the party, he said time has come to teach a lesson and end the selfish regime in the state. Sindhia, who still remains a JD(S) legislator, has been suspended from the party for anti-party activities.
