Dhanbad: Journalists of Dhanbad coal belt region today staged a dharna in protest against the attack on media persons by Janata Dal United MLA Anant Singh at Patna.
District convenor of Jharkhand working journalists union Ganesh Mishra who presided over the dharna at Randhir Verma chpwk said that the politician had targetted media persons to hide his crime.
He said a journalist was also allegedly manhandled by a Jharkhand minister in Koderma district on Friday. A memorandum has been faxed to the president and Bihar and Jharkhand governors, he said.
