Eight IAS officers transferred in Maharashtra

Mumbai: Eight IAS officers, including some who had recently been promoted to the IAS cadre in Maharashtra, were transferred today.

Prominent among them are Sudhir Khanapure who is the new Deputy Secretary (Urban Development) and Seema Vyas who has been appointed Commissioner (lottery and small savings), official sources said here.

Khanapure was earlier attached to Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil's office in New Delhi, while Vyas was serving as Collector in neighbouring Raigad district, they said.
