UPA plans to raise retirement age to 62

New Delhi: In a decision, which could be viewed as a gift to Left for their nuclear deal support, the UPA government has plans to raise the retirement age from 60 to 62. Ministry of Finance and Personnel are working on all the possibilities of this change.

The decision has got the support of Left parties and workers union. It's been believed that the formal announcement in this regard would be made in next year's budget.
