Yeddyurappa to meet Kumaraswamy today
Sunday, November 18, 2007 08:40 [IST]

Bangalore: In an attempt to break the impasse over 12-point MoU between BJP and JD(S), the top leaders from both the parties will have formal talks on Sunday on this issue.

State chief minister Yeddyurappa is going to meet JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy to discuss the issue. JD(S) is insisting upon signing of the MoU before facing the floor test.

Meanwhile, JD(S) has also convened an emergency meet on this issue on Sunday also. Prior to that, Yeddyurappa was in New Delhi to discuss the issue with party high command and he came to Bangalore on Saturday and decided to resolve the issue with Kumaraswamy.

Kumaraswamy's party has firmly told BJP that it should ink the MoU by Sunday, failing which the JD(S) will take a decision at its legislature party meeting.
