Home Ministry upgrades IGP post to DGP

Puducherry: The Union Home Ministry has upgraded the post of Inspector General of Police (IGP) here to Director General of Police, according to official sources.

A communication received by the territorial government from the ministry said that A S Khan the Additional Director General of Police of Transport Corporation of Delhi, has since been posted as DGP here in place of Kishan Kumar, transferred to Goa. Kishan Kumar was IG of Police in Puducherry, the sources said.
