Jailed Dutt advised to practice meditation
Sunday, November 18, 2007 22:27 [IST]

Pune: The Art of Living guru Sri Sri Ravishankar took time off from his Pranayam session in the city to meet the inmates of Yerawada prison where Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, convicted under the Arms Act, is also lodged.

The spiritual leader held a shibir on meditation yesterday which was attended by over 2,500 convicts.

Ravishankar interacted with the inmates and advised them to practice prayer and satsang to increase their inner strength.

Dutt, serving jail term in connection with the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case, did not attend the spiritual session, prison sources said.

The guru, however, told reporters later that he met the actor while taking a round of the prison and told him to practice "contemplation and meditation" to become stronger.
