CHB computerises records
Wednesday, November 21, 2007 16:53 [IST]

Chandigarh: The entire records of Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) related to 42,000 dwelling units have been computerised and would be made online shortly.

The allottees would be able to view the information relating to their units on internet, an official release said here today. It said that CHB has also reformed the process relating to transfer making building violations inspections concurrent on the receipt of application for transfer.

Examining the process of inspection of building violations and transfer, CHB has decided to dispense with the necessity of physical verification of building violations before effecting transfer.

By this, however, the building violation would not be condoned or sanctioned and the new transferee will continue to be liable for any building violation. In such a case, an appropriate action would be taken as per the prescribed procedures against the transferee, the release said.
