Islamabad: Cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan was today released from the Dera Gazi Khan jail in Punjab province where he had been detained for the past week under anti-terorism laws, but was continuing his hunger strike for the reinstatement of judges deposed under the emergency.
"It is confirmed that Imran Khan has been released from jail and is now in the house of PML-N leader Zulfiqar Khosa in Dera Ghazi Khan," said Admiral (retd) Jawaid Iqbal, additional secretary general of Khan's Tehreek-e-Insaaf party.
