Bulandshahar (UP): A college principal was stabbed to death by an unidentified person here today, police said.
C P Gupta, principal of the DAV degree college, was stabbed several times by the assailant when he was taking a walk in the college premises. Gupta was immediately rushed to a hospital where he was declared brought dead, police said.
Later students of the college blocked traffic on the Delhi highway demanding arrest of a BSP MLA as he had allegedly threatened the principal with dire consequences if he (Gupta) failed to readmit some expelled students. Police said the principal had recently expelled 12 students of the college on charges of vandalism in the campus.
