Rebels to stay away from Gowda's meet
Thursday, November 29, 2007 10:18 [IST]

Bangalore: It seems that the internal tussle in JD(S) will be continued for a long time as party rebels led by senior leader M P Prakash has decided to stay away from the meeting called by JD(S) supremo Deve Gowda on Thursday.

This decision was taken in yesterday's meeting under the M P Prakash that was attended by party MLAs and MPs. The meeting was called to decide future plans of the rebels.

Gowda has called the meeting of all party cadres to discuss the political situation and gear up the party for the forthcoming assembly polls.

Yesterday, JD(S) rebel leader M P Veerendrakumar called on Prakash and held discussions with him on the Karnataka political situation.
