Congress prepares for K'taka polls

Bangalore: Congress high command will restructure the party unit in Karnataka next month to galvanise it for the coming mid-term assembly polls, AICC Secertary Praveen Davar said today.

Major communities including Vokkaligas and Lingayats will be given adequate representation while carrying out the restructure, he told reporters here.
The Congress has already begun its preparation for the elections in the wake of the President Pratibha Patil dissolving the state assembly, Davar said.

He dismissed any sympathy wave in favour of the BJP, which was ousted from power by its coalition partner JD(S) and claimed Congress will return to power with clear majority in the next elections.

He refuted allegations that Congress tried to form a government with JD(S) rebels support, remarking,
