Krishi-2007 exhibition gets underway

Nasik: The Krishi-2007 exhibition, organised by city-based Media Exhibitors and Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce and Industries (MCCI) began here today.

In 18 halls, more than 350 stalls of seeds, pesticides, governmental organisations, agriculture advisory centres and its publications, agro-machinery, bio-technology, international research centres, nurseries and other organisations were installed at the exhibition, Sanjay Nyaharkar of Media Exhibitors and Digvijay Kapadia of MCCI told reporters.

The main attraction of the event is India Wine Show , in which all key-wine producers are participating. A total total 26 wine stalls have been set up and people interested could avail the wint tasting facility set up there.

Seminars on the different subjects related to agriculture, buyer and seller meet and wine experts from abroad will guide visiting farmers from different parts of the state, they added.

The exhibition will remain open till December three. Around three lakh people are likely to visit the event, they said.
