Punjab DMs to decide on screening of Aaja Nachle

Chandigarh: Following in the footsteps of UP, the Punjab government tonight asked district magistrates to decide on whether to screen Madhuri Dixit starrer Aaja Nachle after its objectionable content had been removed. On the assurance of producer-director Anil Mehta about deletion of the objectionable portion of the title song, the district magistrates have been directed to review whether the revised film can be screened, Harcharan Bains, Media Advisor to Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal here.

The Badal government had banned the film earlier in the day after the sizeable Dalit population in the state had objected to the lyrics of the song in the Bollywood diva's comeback film.
