New Delhi: In the eye of the storm for his stand-off with the BCCI, chief selector Dilip Vengsarkar said he has not received any response to his letter to the Board while keeping mum on whether he would put in his papers on Tuesday.
"I don't want to comment on anything," said the chief selector.
Miffed by BCCI's decision not to withdraw the seven-point guideline that prevents him from writing column, Vengsarkar has written a letter to the Board but did not get any response.
"I have not received any response from the Board," he said.
Asked if he would quit from the post on Tuesday, Vengsarkar said, "I'll do what I have to do and please don't ask my about that."
In his letter, Vengsarkar has made it clear that he would not attend Wednesday's selection committee meeting in Bangalore if the guideline was not withdrawn. It puts the Board in an awkward situation as the selectors are expected to pick the side for the third Test against Pakistan and also the squad for the Australia tour.
Vengsarkar, however, said that he would attend a Mumbai selection meeting later on Tuesday.
