Bangalore: The Janata Party has plans to tie up with the BJP to fight the coming assembly elections in Karnataka, its President Subramanian Swamy said today.
"Talks are on with the BJP national leaders in this regard," he told reporters here.
However, the nature of the poll alliance was yet to be discussed, Swamy, who met former Chief Minister and BJP leader B S Yeddyurappa, said.
He flayed JDS supremo H D Devegowda for not supporting the BJP-led government in the state and said the people would teach a lesson to that party in the coming elections.
At the state level, BJP leaders have already declared that it would go alone.
