New Delhi: Both BJP and Congress are playing hard to garner the power in Gujarat. Amid power tussle, both of them made some controversial statements creating a space for Election Commission to get in.
Now, after receiving Modi's reply on Sohrabuddin case Election Commission (EC) has decided to meet today to review the whole scenario. Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi invited a big trouble to his doorsteps when he openly supported the encounter of Sohrabuddin. It gave a chance to Congress to approach EC on this issue.
In a tit-for-tat move, BJP also approached EC on Sonia's remarks about Modi being a ''merchant of death.'' The EC has also asked for a report on this statement.
In his reply, to the allegations made by Congress on this issue, Modi replied that media misquoted him.
