Shiv Sena seeks revocation of bartenders order
Sunday, December 09, 2007 19:00 [IST]

New Delhi: The Shiv Sena today demanded that the NCT government should file a revision petition before the Supreme Court against its recent order allowing women to act as bartenders in hotels and restaurants.

Jai Bhagwan Goel, north India head of the saffron party, said the apex court's decision to permit women to serve liquors would aggravate the existing law and order situation in the capital, a release said.

The party said that the NCT government should take steps for revocation of the order as the killing of Jessica Lall, a bartender, was still fresh in the minds of Delhiites.
