Four held for teens deaths at hotel in New Delhi

New Delhi: Four persons were today detained for questioning in connection with the mysterious deaths of four teenagers at a hotel in southwest Delhi.

Those questioned include the contractor Pankaj Kumar who employed the deceased, Krishna, Vinod, Anna, Preetam, and the hotel staff, a senior police official said.

Police were trying to ascertain if there was any brawl during the party or if the victims were drunk.

Food poisioning is suspected to be the reason behind the deaths of the four whose bodies were found at D-Marks hotel in Vasantkunj area yesterday morning.

The victims were employed by a contractor for cleaning utensils, the official said adding that on the night before they were found dead, a marriage party was organised in the hotel.

He said they were awaiting for the forensic and post- mortem reports to assertain the actual cause of death.

Meanwhile, relatives of the victims blocked traffic near Safdarjung hospital demanding immidiate arrest of those behind the crime.

Additional security personnel were deployed at the hospital, where the bodies were kept, after relatives shouted slogans there.
