Raje govt receives Chopra report on Gujjars
Monday, December 17, 2007 12:47 [IST]

Jaipur: The committee constituted to examine the Gurjars demand for ST status, today submitted a status report to the Rajasthan government.

The committee headed by Justice Jasraj Chopra presented a 294 page report to the chief minister.

The report will be taken up by the Raje Cabinet tomorrow to decide the course of action.

The report comes in the backdrop of resignation by three Meena leaders who opposed any recommendation to the Centre for granting ST status to the Gurjars.
