Boy killed, 9 injured in blast in Quetta

Islamabad: A boy was killed and nine persons, including a traffic policeman, were injured when a bomb went off in Quetta in Pakistan s Balochistan province. The bomb planted near Malik Plaza, a busy commercial area in the heart of the city, exploded when the bazaar was packed with people busy shopping ahead of the in Eid-ul-Azha festival.

At least 10 people injured in the explosion were taken to two nearby hospitals. The boy, identified as Rehmatullah, succumbed to his injuries. The injured were out of danger, police said. TV channels reported that another bomb found at the same location was defused by the bomb disposal squad.
