Rights activist appointed advisor to Pak PM

Islamabad: Noted advocate and rights activist Amar Lal has been appointed special advisor on minorities affairs to Pakistan's caretaker Prime Minister Mohammedmian Soomro. Amar Lal, who hold a PhD in international affairs and law from the Russian federation, was involved with various youth organisations in the 1970s. He also organised labour unions in the telecom and energy sectors and industrial units across Pakistan.
