Cinema houses willing to screen Taare Zameen Par
Friday, December 21, 2007 23:55 [IST]

Vadodara: Managements of a cinema hall and several multiplexes here have shown their willingness in screening Aamir Khan's latest film "Taare Zameen Par" in the city provided they get adequate police protection.

Kalpesh Doshi, manager of the Aradhna cinema here said that was the view of the management of his cinema and other multiplexes in the city.

The film could not be released in the city today in the wake of protests from the two organisations - Sardar Patel group and Hind Rakshak Samiti - demanding an apology from actor Aamir Khan for his alleged remarks for rehabilitation of people affected by the Narmada Dam's height elevation. Several fans of Aamir Khan were disappointed due to non-screening of film in the multiplexes and cinema houses of the city.

The local managements of the theatres hope some way would be found out for releasing of this film very soon.
